ok my phone just went for a dip in the NP's toilet bowl. I pronounch it dead.
My 4 months old 6288.

First week of school passed. Enjoyable i must say. Tutorials start next week, going to meet my tutorial class for the first time.
Some incidents that happened in the first week.

Incident 1
Like all freshies, Hao and myself could not find our lecture hall. It was actually more like my lecture, Hao just crashed in with me. We started walking round the whole school trying to locate the lecture hall. We walked from the front all the way to the back. Halfway we met some guys on the way and asked them for directions. It turned out to be they are freshies as well. haha... all of us started laughing there. In the end we had to run up one hill before finding our lecture hall. Damn tiring.

Incident 2
Hao and myself got stuck in a lift. A glass lift for the handicapped to be exact. I wanted to try out the lift so i dragged him in. We opened the lift door and got in. We didn't know the door was to close on it's own so HAo went to force it close. We were supposed to push the up button but there was no response. The lift didn't even budge. After a few tries it still didn't work so we tried to leave the lift but the door could not open. haha... so we were stuck. We tried signaling to the people outside and got someone to help us press the button from the outside but to no avail. Still stuck. By that time it was getting pretty stuffy and few people were looking into the lift. haha.. they must be wondering what the hell is two idiots doing in the lift. In the end Hao managed to get the lift started. HAlfway up, it decided to get cranky and stopped, and we were stuck again. After a few attempts, we finally managed to reach to the top. A mere two story lift ride took us a full ten minutes as compared to if we had taken the stairs. The latter would have taken us a mere 1 minutes. haha.... but it was a once in a lifetime experience, cause i won't take that lift again. xp

Incident 3
Running out of a library introduction lecture. What more do i need to say about running away from useless lecture. =0 I bet halfway through the lecture only 1/4 of the class would be left.

As a whole i truly enjoy poly life and i signed up for dance sports as my cca. haha...

Pay hike for ministers and senior civil servants. I need money as well.

First day in poly.

Poly's life is pretty interesting. I think i'm gonna enjoy it so much. Had problems trying to locate all the right lectures hall. Nontheless, lecture was pretty interesting. I like the fact that we can just download all our lecture notes into our laptop and just open it in the lecture hall. No need to print them out. Pretty cool, most people's desk have a laptop and you see everyone typing their life away. haha... i think some of them are actually not listening, they are either playing com games or msn-ing. haha... that was what i was actually doing. haha...i was playing "Need for speed" on Hao's lappie.

Been going out with Hao for the past few days. Went to esplanade library today. I didn't realise there was a sky garden up in esplanade. The view there was very good, very peaceful as well. A very good place.

Happen to meet perry and audrey there. We saw Perry in the toilet. Funny incident.
Perry helped us took some shots up at the sky garden. He takes pretty good shots. haha...

Highlights of our time together....

Ok this is my timetable for the term. Looks pretty decent but school starts a little early. haha...9 am from mon to thur and 8am on fri. My my... i've to wake up early still.

Will be studying Business Law, POA, Macroeconomics, Business Management and Business computing Applications. Interesting interesting.

I think i'll be lost on the first day of school cos i've no idea how to read the timetable. No idea where am i supposed to go for the different lessons. Maybe I should just bring a map of the school as well. haha...

Ok i just got back from the first day of orientation organised by Np's BA. IT was good, the first orientation camp tat did not make me feel bored on it's first day. Ended up in Popeii 6, made a couple of friends, spent more time with the OGLs actually. haha...i was the only Og mate tat had lunch with them. I'm starting to love Ngee Ann and how poly works. IT's so much more interesting as compared to a Junior College. No regrets.
Ok so my course is the most populated course in the whole BA, it has an enrolment of close to 400 people. haha... tat's like the size of one and a half time the sec 4 cohort. How cool, and they all are gonna become my course-mates and we'll be having lectures together.

Np's really huge. It houses 5 canteens not counting all the little cafes in certain corners of the school. They library itself occupies 5 levels. There's even a handphone shop, a optical shop, four leaves bread store, three "each a cup" bubble tea store and also a stall tat does the handphone and laptop wrap thingy and 2 bookstores. haha...if i'm not wrong i think there's 3 atm machines of different banks and a Ez-link top up machine. There's also the sports complex,complete with gym facilities, squarsh courts, 2 swimming pools,martial arts training ground, basketball courts, badminton courts and of course a runnin track.

There are over 100 CCAs to choose from and now i'm spoilt for choices. Dunno wat to choose. I'm thinking of dance sports, martial arts or either dragon boating or canoeing.

Most of the thing is automated. To mark attandance in lectures, u just have to Tap your student card at the card reader at the enterance and yup, your attendance is marked. How easy is tat.
Special Rooms can be booked online, lecture notes and tutorials can be obtained online, School fees can be made online. Bascially everything can be done online. All you need is a Student ID and password and just log on from the Np intranet website.

Another interesting thing i note about Poly is tat most of their tables comes with power socket underneath it. How cool can tat be man, it's so convinent to use your laptop anywhere.

Ok i think i'm gonna enjoy my stay in ngee ann.
