Ok i just got back from the first day of orientation organised by Np's BA. IT was good, the first orientation camp tat did not make me feel bored on it's first day. Ended up in Popeii 6, made a couple of friends, spent more time with the OGLs actually. haha...i was the only Og mate tat had lunch with them. I'm starting to love Ngee Ann and how poly works. IT's so much more interesting as compared to a Junior College. No regrets.
Ok so my course is the most populated course in the whole BA, it has an enrolment of close to 400 people. haha... tat's like the size of one and a half time the sec 4 cohort. How cool, and they all are gonna become my course-mates and we'll be having lectures together.
Np's really huge. It houses 5 canteens not counting all the little cafes in certain corners of the school. They library itself occupies 5 levels. There's even a handphone shop, a optical shop, four leaves bread store, three "each a cup" bubble tea store and also a stall tat does the handphone and laptop wrap thingy and 2 bookstores. haha...if i'm not wrong i think there's 3 atm machines of different banks and a Ez-link top up machine. There's also the sports complex,complete with gym facilities, squarsh courts, 2 swimming pools,martial arts training ground, basketball courts, badminton courts and of course a runnin track.
There are over 100 CCAs to choose from and now i'm spoilt for choices. Dunno wat to choose. I'm thinking of dance sports, martial arts or either dragon boating or canoeing.
Most of the thing is automated. To mark attandance in lectures, u just have to Tap your student card at the card reader at the enterance and yup, your attendance is marked. How easy is tat.
Special Rooms can be booked online, lecture notes and tutorials can be obtained online, School fees can be made online. Bascially everything can be done online. All you need is a Student ID and password and just log on from the Np intranet website.
Another interesting thing i note about Poly is tat most of their tables comes with power socket underneath it. How cool can tat be man, it's so convinent to use your laptop anywhere.
Ok i think i'm gonna enjoy my stay in ngee ann.
